The Never Ending Tangle

The Never Ending Tangle

OMG… I don’t know about you but I find untangling yarn therapeutic. You take something that looks utterly hopeless and you correct it.

But every once in a while there lands in my lap a pile of yarn that is so tangled, such a ball of  a mess, so tangled… I feel like tearing my hair out by the roots.

If you are a knitter, or crotchetier you know some yarn just tangles. Its the nature of the beast. Some yarn winds & knits like a dream, and some yarn doesn’t… IMG_0673

I’m working with a particular yarn right now that will not peacefully knit into my scarf. Every couple of pulls from my ball and I have to stop and untangle. And it was like that winding it. And I feel as if I am going to have to take a valium just to get through knitting the scarf.

But here is the crux of the issue and if you are a true knitter, a die hard knitter bound and determined to wrestle that yarn into submission come hell or high water? Then you stop every few minutes and you untangle that damn unforgiving yarn. Because in the end it is all worth it.

Take for example the beautiful yarn to my right?!? I have been fighting with it for two weeks. I will wrestle that damn yarn into submission and then get it into a nice ball of yarn if it is the last thing I due.

Do you have a story/nightmare of wrestling yarn into submission? Because I would love to hear about it. Leave a comment below and tell your story of woe. Because we have all been there.

Thanks for stopping by.

Hugs all around. — Losa
